Reasons to give

Give access to pulmonary rehabilitation

There are far too few pulmonary rehab programs in Canada. Transportation and location can create additional barriers. Our BREATHE Better | Stay STRONG virtual pulmonary rehabilitation program is a free, online program that anyone can participate in, from the comfort of home and at their own pace.

Reasons to give

Give children a full night's sleep

Sleep apnea in children can cause daytime sleepiness, fatigue, poor growth, heart problems, delays in proper brain development, bed wetting and behavior problems both at home and at school. Unfortunately, pediatric CPAP machines can cost more than $2,000. We offer grants to support families who otherwise couldn’t afford the machines and equipment their child needs.

Reasons to give

Make homes safe places to breathe

Radon is the second-leading cause of lung cancer in Canada. Radon exposure is estimated to be the cause of 16% of lung cancers. Through the Lungs Matter program, we offer grants to cover the cost of home radon mitigation for low-income Canadians with lung disease who are living with high radon levels.

Reasons to give

Help us create a smoke-free generation

Youth are still smoking cigarettes, and even more youth are vaping. It's important that they know the true risks and consequences of these choices. Lungs are for Life! is an engaging, evidence-based resource for educators to help students learn more about about the dangers of smoking and vaping so they can make healthy and informed decisions.

Reasons to give

Invest in the future of lung research

Our research funding competitions and training workshops help launch the careers of the next generation of respiratory researchers in Canada. This funding also encourages young researchers to establish their careers in Canada.

Reasons to give

Provide a place to turn for answers to important questions about lung health

If you have questions about your lung health, we're here to help. Our Lung Health Help Line allows you to speak to a certified respiratory educator and get the answers you need, when you need them.
